On May 22nd, with sunny weather and green grass, the 18th Venice International Architecture Biennale China National Pavilion Exhibition welcomed its opening event. Representatives from the curator team, organizers, supporters, and other parties, as well as participating architects and artists, gathered together to celebrate the opening of the China National Pavilion.

Ruan Xin, the curator of the China National Pavilion, introduced in her speech that the exhibition of the China Pavilion focuses on the theme of "Renewal and Symbiosis". Through three chapters: "Livable, Legendary, Versatile Images," "Livable, Renewal, Shanghai Story," and "Symbiosis, Future, and Natural Revival," the exhibition reflects the changing human living environment in the past 40 years and tells a unique Chinese story from the perspectives of cities, nature, and the people.

The exhibition is synchronized with online exhibitions, and visitors can browse, observe, and experience each exhibit in the handheld cloud exhibition hall by scanning the QR code.

Since the Venice Biennale was held in 2005, China has launched many excellent curators, artists and architects to show the world the level of Chinas cultural development, artistic creation and social openness, and actively promote cultural exchanges and civilization mutual learning with the world. Chinese architects are based on tradition and face the contemporary era, observing the changes of the times, integrating Chinese and foreign experiences, constantly exploring and inheriting traditional Chinese culture, showcasing Chinese aesthetic taste, highlighting the value of the times and world significance of Chinese architectural design, and contributing their own wisdom and solutions to the development of world architecture. I hope that visitors from all over the world can discover the inherent logic of Chinese artists and architects integrating high-tech into Chinas excellent traditional culture from different perspectives by visiting the China Pavilion exhibition, allowing design and art to open up new perspectives for the better life of the public.

The 18th Venice International Architecture Biennale China National Pavilion exhibition will continue until November 26, 2023.
